Bringing back manufacturers name etc on over sanded razors

I have ventured into restoration and while I try very hard not to remove the identifying marks on the
razor some of the razors I have someone has already nearly obliterated such marks. Is there any way
to bring these back? I am talking about marks that are very light and almost unreadable.

You could try re-etching them or regrinding them by hand with a small bit on a dremel tool.

Thanks. I do have a dremel (who doesn't) and will try it. Steady hands will be a problem, but I will start with
one the is not so important.

You're going to need a really steady hand.
I think you might be better to try making a stencil and etching it. At least if you goof on the stencil you can make a new one and it's not permanently on the razor.

It was that need for a steady hand (have never had one) that drew my attention to the black Sharpie on my desk.
No brainer, I covered the area where the words had faded with the sharpie. Waited a few minutes for it to dry well and then
sanded the excess off with 2500 grit wet/dry. It really brought the words back. Not great; but good enough.
