Im sure this been done before but anyway.I found it very ackward to try to measure the proper wedge thickness in light of some recent restoration,
but found that using a feeler gauge worked pretty good, add some remove some till you get the proper
thickness and when cutting the material for the wedge you have your feeler gauge to compare to.
