I was going to make a post about autosol today...whether or not it is safe to use and if it compares to flitz and maas...if anyone has any info please help us out :)
I use autosol to buff my razors I restored. It works fantastic, supposed to leave an invisible film that protects from rust, but I never really count on it.
I'd worry more about buffing wheels / dremel you're using for damaging the edge. I stay far away from the edge when lightly buffing stains out of my shave-ready razors.
I haven't used flitz, but maas works quite well too. Though I think autosol is abit faster than maas.

On a shave ready razor I'd keep it away from the edge, its bound to dull your edge I think.

It is my experience it is best to use any of these products with paper towels, not cloth. The random pattern of the fibers in the paper adds to the ability of the polish to work.
