Turned out fantastic:) how did you finish off the end joint,Glue?
I'm impressed, really that's about all I can say. Wonderful work.
Thanks
I sewed the ends together really hard. Unfortunately, I do not get it really in the middle. I have one that I bought and it has metal clasps and everything is hidden by någan kind of patchwork. I was going to have a patch over the seam so it does not matter that it is not in the middle

Fint jobbat Jonas!
Looks great, should serve you well,I have taken to using a skived joint using the new poly glues (gorilla Glue) after clamping a few hrs is a very strong seamless joint.
I will try to glue together the ends of the next strop.
Thanks for the tip
Looks very good, I like the sewing on the ends. It would give me much more confidence than glue.
Well done :)
Trust me,I use skived glued joints on my Rockwell and southbend lathes, they do not come apart.
Jonas, your stitching looks classic,no need to cover it up.
Google flatbelt lathe belts,is a special X pattern stitch that looks and works great.
They also make metal cleats for flatbelts but you need a special tool to install them,I quit using them yrs ago as they are noisy,be perfect for your application tho, nice work man:)
