Restoring a brush
Hello
I am working on a brush, the handle is ok but there is a black top on.
Guess its hard plastic or rubber, what kind of stuf can i use the best to get that shiny?
Think at the end there comes a nice silvertip in that handle from nib :-D

I'd use a fine sand paper to smooth out the unevenness and then give it a hand buffing with autosol, maas or something similar. I've not had great results using powertools on plastic, it tends to burn very fast and since you don't know exactly what it is perhaps best not to take any chances.
Some of the pros should chime in, once they spot the post :)
Good luck, and let us see once it's done :)

Phenolics Polish very well with a buffer,a soft cotton wheel, white compound and a very light touch works well.

Ditto pixelfixed - slow speed on buffer - 1750rpm
