Sounds like hand sanding can get in tighter spots to clean
Hand sanding is the safest way to go, with a Dremel you will wreck a blade at some point, either by overheating and ruining the temper or the wheel will grab and crack the blade.
Until I got the buffer set up I used a Dremel for polishing, but never for sanding, but you still have to be cautious.
Dremel on a blade? Never again! It takes 1/10th of a second for that spinning wheel to move one millimeter too far and this happened. There may be a hundred guys on here who have never had a problem. Good luck to them. Just like texting and driving is not a problem for some, and fatal for others. It can all go wrong in the blink of an eye.

So damn true. Was polishing a blade and the damn thing slipped and chipped the corner. Luckily it was right at the toe and only a very small chip, so my perfect square point is now a slightly round point. :banghead:
Bugger. Never again.
Look to Home Depot for your smaller grit papers; auto parts like NAPA & wood working stores for your higher grit papers.
If you have a Hobby Lobby near you, they sell a pack of wet/dry sand paper that contains the grits from 2000 to 12000.
