First Restoration
Hello everyone this is my first post and my first attempt ata restoration. This is a Wilbert Cutlery Co. High Art 6/8" Razor. I madethe scales with Red Oak and sanded the blade all by hand so please be kind.Unfortunately I don't have any space for power tools. I wasn't able to save theHigh Art stamp on the blade due to the amount of pitting. I wasn't able to getall of the pitting because I was worried about taking too much metal off and tobe honest I got a bit impatient after the hours of sanding. But let me knowwhat you think. I love the site and thank you everyone.

Looks great! The proportions are nice, not often that someone's first scales flow so well.

Beautiful job on your first.

Kino, holy smokes! I've not seen a first attempt include scales (maybe its been done, but I've not seen it). Sanding looks well done - especially seeing the 'before' pic.
Scales look good. Wedge pin location seems off, but for your first, this is just amazing. Wonderfully done. Keep it up. If this is your first, your future blades should be incredible. Bravo!

I've been considering trying a restoration, hopefully you didn't just set the bar to high for me. Very well done.

Excellent job for a first restore. The scales are beautiful and fit that razor to a tee. But the big question remains........how does she hone and shave?
