How much is it to restore a razor?

I have the ones listed on here that I got at a yard sale.

It really depends on what you'd like done to the razor and how much work it will take. You could check out the classifieds under member services for people who do restores or look under the custom builts and restores threads and shoot someone a PM and see what can be done :)

As far as the Civil War goes, #1 is out as it was made sometime after 1891 as it includes the country of origin. The Krusius Brothers didn't begin importing into this country until 1889. As a student of the Civil War, I'm sure that you're aware of the industrial transformation that occurred as a result of the war. As a poet of my generation said, "there's a lot of good money to be made supplying the army with the tools of it's trade."

Restoration of anything worth while is not like going to jiffy lube and getting a lube, oil and filter.
Beware the restorer that says: I will restore your razor to new, shave ready, for $49.95.
I restore machine tools,mostly lathes,some bandsaws,and a couple bridgeports a year,just a sideline hobby of sorts.
What do I charge?,no clue until it is done,all time and materials,well when will it be finished,whats your turn around time?
