    Default Need helpfull info on joseph elliots best silversteel real hollow ground razor please

    please help need Info. I have honed thIs razor blade but I need to know what else I should do. I also need to know where I can purchase scales, pIns, washers, etc. any Info / leads would be apprecIated.

    Hi Swerve,

    It all depends on how far you want to go. Seeing as you have honed the razor, any further sanding or finishing work on the blade would probably destroy the edge, so the next step is probably fitting it in some scales and using it! Have a look here for some tips about scales, pins and making scales - it is a part of the SRP Wiki and you can navigate backwards and forwards in it once you get the page up.

    As you are doing most of the hard work yourself, it might be a good idea to try your hand at scale-making. If it doesn't suit you there are some places like Revisor that sell scales and pins, or maybe a donor set of old scales from an old beaten-up razor would do. Microfasteners does adjustable screw pins with small bolts and other types of rivet-head bolts as well as brass washers - just use the search function on this site for pins, washers, scales if you need to know more.
