Happy accidents?

Ok so I was making a wedge that was going to be a piece of 0.010mm brass lined with orange g10. During wedging (I guess you could call it that) I sanded to much of the face of the g10 off and the brass was sticking out of the concave part just a bit, well I kinda figured instead of trashing it I could see what I could do with it. After sanding it flush with the scales and mocking it up the top and bottom are even and flush, but the concave part looks like a floating piece of brass with the scales just hanging there with nothing....Holy crap it worked, and it actually looks good? So what happy accidents have you guys fubar'd your way into?

I was plastered one night and went to the bathroom for relief. I took a wrong turn, wound up outside instead, and it was a very nice experience.

Yes, I will have to put some up this weekend, had to hone a razor for a friend that I sold him last night, and I have the wedge glued to one of the scales curing in a clamp...24hr cure time :( I will hopefully pin it tonight or tomorrow and pics will follow. It's my first set of scales completed, so please be gentle :p
