Ok so I need a re pin. Who da man??

So I got taken on Escam on a junk razor.:rant:
BUT now I found a good blade to put in the nice scales. :D
Any kind of special pin I should get or are they all the same? :confused:
Who should I send it to to have done and what does this sort of thing cost? :shrug:

There are a number of people who can repin, Joe Chandler is a member/vendor who can do it...but a lot of members can probably assist you. I cannot think of anyone else other than Joe who is a vendor and would just do a re-pin though???

I'll do it gratis if noone better chimes in.

I also would like to know where to get pins, what kind etc.

Any hobby shop 1/16" brass rod stock. #0 and #0W brass washers from www.microfasteners.com, a ballpeen hammer (even a regular hammer will do but be gentle with it), and a flat hard surface (a small 11lb anvil's cheap and works great). Total cost about $20 and that should be enough for dozens of pinning jobs.

Sounds like a plan. Shipping it shouldn't cost more than a couple of bucks if you do it in a padded envelope (USPS Airmail). Just tell her you bought a coleague (us a male name to avoid other issues :eek:) and yourself a cup of coffee :D
