First of all I LOVE Kijiji. I scored a 9" Delta Band saw for $25 bucks plus the $10 i cost to drive and get it. The damn thing is almost new. Finally no more scroll saw for making scales.

Happy New Year !!
A band saw for $35.00 ?....Great way to start the New Year....
Watch them fingers !
A bandsaw is about 99.99 percent better than a scroll saw for scale making. Ofc, I had to spend 110 on a scroll saw to find that out. :p
Congrats!!
Awesome!

How is a scroll saw not as good as a band saw for scale making
All I have is a scroll saw and I can honestly say I would love a band saw for when I try splitting 5/16-3/8x1 thick blanks. It isn't a fun thing to try and do on a scroll saw. Not to mention probably not the smartest or safest thing either. At least it isn't for me. As for cutting out the scales a scroll saw works perfectly fine. I suppose I could just sand the blanks down instead of splitting them.
I dint know if this counts but i bought a 20 Gal belt driven compressor, Drill Press. Grinder and Vise $50.00 a few days before Christmas!
I been watching Craig's for one or the other. I decided I need both after seeing they sometimes give them away. Maybe next month when I am completely over my RAD.(which means paid for it all.)
