Re: Finished my Case Brothers modified
I don't mind in the slightest. And thanks!
That was the first pinning I've ever done, so I was a little nervous and unsure. But I just went slow and was very careful and it went just fine. I was worried about bending a pin or over peening one side. But really it went quite well.

Just now shaved with it. Really nice. It took a good edge and sailed right through my horrific stubble without a pull.
The thumb notch and the altered tail really felt comfortable in my hand and locked in, in a nice way. I'm really happy with it all around.
Re: Finished my Case Brothers modified
I knew I hadn't destroyed the temper when I was grinding it. I used a heatless stone and worked holding the blade in my fingers less than a cm from where I was grinding. If I felt even the slightest bit of warmth I had a compressed air nozzle ready to go, hooked to a big compressor and set at 80 psi.
Then one thing that I was worried about was that there had been rust on the cutting edge. And so I did have a concern that there might be swiss cheese in the cutting edge.
Thankfully it was clean and smooth.
