Experience the best teacher, but sometimes painful...

Two things happened recently that I will chalk up as a learning experience:
1. The Hanging Hair Test became the Hanging Skin Flap Test, no stiches necessary due to the quick application of CA glue
2. Maas Metal Polish will polish the gold wash right off. I picked up a nice clad-tanged, worked spine Right Away razor with "The Superb" etched on the blade with gold wash. The etch is still there, but the wash is gone. I think that is what happened tto the recent Blue Wonder razor that I recently got, other pictures I have seen have the logo in gold wash.
