Today I took out my Tosuke to restore its edge. It had a few burrs that needed honing out.
I started with my 1500 grit Shapton. When the burrs were gone I moved on to the Oozuku mizu asagi and used the Aiiwatani as a tomonagura. In about 200 roundtrips this combination produced an edge that passed the HHT with ease. I didn't even have to dilute the slurry and did not finish with water only on the Oozuku.
Shave test later today.
