    Default Warped blade

Got a Wester Bros Anchor Brand in the mail last week. Been looking for one for a while to match a 6/8 I have. The 6/8 is one of the nicest ground blades I’ve seen, this 5/8 I just received, not so much. I’ve been planning a thread for a while concerning honing and the plan was to use this one and it’s bigger brother for some side by side comparisons. But first I needed to set the bevel. Taking this thing to the hone I looked it over first and was impressed how there is no hone wear. The bevelas looked ok, under the loupe I can see a little chip, maybe .3mm in depth. I then take a look down the spine and holy cow! What a warp! It’s almost a millimeter when you set a straight edge on the toe and heal. Look down the edge and it’s almost as bad as the spine. Looked like the perfect time for my first video, so here you go. Any critiques welcome. This is how I’ve dealt with all the warps I’ve come in contact with. I’d love to hear or see how you guys deal with them.
