    Default Test Hone

    Hello you know slate?
It is a Brazilian rock that looks a lot like the Chinese 12000.
I am wanting to buy a piece to test.
What do you think it is very thin.
I was looking up a friend or send to Lynn for review.
Lynn what you think? Want to test, I sent for you for free?
    What do you think?
    Thanks
    Ale

    Yes exactly.
Thuringian, Dragon's Tongue, Charnley Forest, Schist, they are all slates from different parts of the world. There are probably a lot more.
Its a mixture of different elements and very hard to determine which ones are actually in it, and how dense they are. Clay- and oil-type of slates are probably best for our purposes.
    Yours looks really good.

    Hello!

Here in Brazil we have more than 10 types of slate on Saturday I bought 2 different types and to my surprise both my Philharmony as my Dovo Bismark, which until then was very hard and let it grind to a smooth shave, the two are cut with a wire and beautiful and very soft, did my hair on Sunday to test and after 40 passes in the slate, 20 on Crox with canvas, 20 in leather had a wonderful shave and very soft, my face was more than a smooth ass the baby.
Thank you all for your help.
If you have someone who knows oilstone to work with this and I want to try sending no cost to test in a condition to send a commentary then ok and evaluation.
Here in Brazil I do not have much access to other types of Hone, everything that I buy off the parents come to me at least 70% of tax, everything is very expensive, so I buy has to be individual and that person has declare that cost around $ 30, no matter whatever.
It is so hard here that I'm even thinking of making knives.
Tomorrow 2 slate of pictures that I used and post here ok.
    Thanks
    Ale
