What you actually set is called a pre-bevel or a factory bevel (watch the Dovo vid) been using a similar system for quite awhile on razors that need heavy restoration...In fact the Dovo vid was where I got the original idea of how to set a bevel fast after Breadknifing and went from the 3 layers of tape and tons of hand work,(in the Wiki) to about the same thing you used... I only use this on restoration though, but for that it does save time...Last edited by gssixgun; 01-26-2010 at 12:21 PM.

You guys are missing the point....... This is for blades that have been worked on and the bevel is terribly round. I spent two+ hours on my 1K to set one and decided that I didn't want to do that again. Tried the coarse DMT Plate and that wasn't right either for me...... I thought I was onto something here. It worked great for me.... Just trying to share my experience. If you have a better way..... share it.

Barry,
Are you using the stock stone or a 4000 King?
