Did my 8k test shave (100-4k/75-8k, straight to face)
First time in three years I shaved straight off the 8k with no stropping, it went really well!!
Badger brush, Omega cream 20 dry off laps after shave. I'll use the same brush/cream for the rest of the tests.

Ok my hone showed today. Very excited. I will lap them and finish the razor tonigh.

I know we said 50laps on the DT without slurry. How many laps on the LM are we doing?

let see how the DT turns out i was thinking 75 but lets see. remember after you lap your DT/LM smooth it out with the slurry stone to get all of the dmt scratchs out.

Ok, lapped the DT, lapped with slurry stone and did 50 laps, and I'll probably shave tonight

Are you shaving off the DT or the LM?

Ok but are you using that slurry when honing?

no slurry when honing ,just to smooth the stone over the DT. i dont think the DT will be a great jump from the 8k just use water with the DT

Just the DT with no slurry

Ok just lapped the DT and Jimi Hendrix Purple haze stone. Nice and flat and easy to even out the surface. OK how many laps on the LM aka JHPH. LOL!
