Vintage Straight Razor

This is one vintage straight razor "Top Flight” made by Burrell Cutlery Co c.1941-1942. Located at 24 Rockwell Ave. Ellicottville, New York City Harold W. Burrell was president. It is in excellent condition with 6/8 "square point hollow ground blade, it is bright and clean; free of any pitting, cracks, nicks, chips or sharpening damage. It has small teeth on the edge that I believe are original. The cutting edge is well honed and smooth. It pass H.H.T. and is cutting hair with edge part with the teeth... It has blued shank that usually stands for hand forged. Front shank reads TOP FLIGHT with wings trademark reverse shank reads BURRELL CUTLERY CO, INC. ELLICOTVILLE N. Y. It has white cream celluloid handles in very-good condition with some minor wear and scratches, free of chips, cracks or other damage with two pins that appear original. It opens and closes snug and smooth on the pivot pin and well centered between the handles. It is coming with its original leather case.
The razor measures 6 1/8"long when is closed.
All measurements are approximate.

This is very nice example of “Top Flight” Burrell Cutlery Co straight razor; it would be great addition to any collection or simply to use.
