I have a couple MIA at the moment that are being chaced from the U.S. side by the seller I am hoping for the same been over 6 weeks now since they were posted

Everything is tracked until they got hold of them then everything goes cold
Never insure an item of value. It is a big red flag to a thief
But then I'd have zero recourse if it disappears. I'd still take my chances with the law enforcement and the shipping company, after all I like to think I live in a civil society with basic structures. For small amounts I don't insure because it's not worth it - the bureaucracy of dealing with the paperwork is too much, but if I'm sending something worth several hundred or several thousand dollars, I'm most definitely going to insure it for the full value, because I'm simply not willing to take the risk.
The theft starts within the PO.
I don't really care where it occurs, I want to be compensated if it does. It's up to the shipper to figure out who stole it from them, if they want to, and how to prevent it in the future.
