SWAGGING prices for a lot w/ a SR and brushes I bought :)
We all want to feel as if we get a good deal and sometimes we do..and sometimes we don't. I've ended up on both sides of that myself plenty of times.
I bid on, and won, this lot from an estate, and for funs sake let's see if it's a decent deal (note: the definition of 'deal' here is if I could get my money back (or more) if I flipped the items).

Cost: About $40
So there's seven things in the lot.
My own, quick estimates
1) The strop.
I really don't know if there's a market for old, used strops. It looks like it's in decent shape...but to be conservative I'll give it a value of $0.
2) The brushes

- one wooden handled one...I'll give that a $0 value as well,
- one Ever Ready that looks like it's in pretty good condition. Nice color and shape as well. Knot is a write-off so handle alone I guess. I say...$7.50
- one looks like a Made-Rite brush. The clear base is kinda neat. How about $6.50
So far I am not doing very well getting that 40 bucks back.
3) The safety razors

The Gillette actually looks really, really nice. Can't tell the writing on the top of the handle. Assuming that the top cap looks the same I'm gonna go out on a limb and say $15
The other one looks like a Schick E-type. Ok condition, could clean up, comes with an old injector case, maybe $7 on a good day.
That brings me to....$36
4) The straight razor
Pretty much the reason I bought the lot in the first place.
Love the German-Russian engraving and after some help it was discovered that it's a pre-1917 razor due to the Russian spelling.
How much pre-1917 I don't have a clear idea of yet.
It looks to be in decent shape.
This one I have a real hard time slapping a value on. Maybe $35.

So, assuming the above holds water I can probably get my money back if/when I sell. Maybe.
Appreciate any comment/corrections on my SWAG prices above :)
