Had my first shave with this Bruno Custom he made for me, from the Nakago section of a 17th century Japanese sword.
Am thinking now this might serve better as a Kamisori type razor? The Tamahagane steel was unbelievably smooth, as sharp as I've had, and a smooth and very comfortable shave. Was awesome shaving with something this old and with this history. Valery spent considerable time of the stones with this one, he said it was very hard steel, yet seemed to "love the stones" - he used all Japanese naturals for this one.
So, off with the scales and make it a Kamisori, I'm thinking?

Considering it's origins, a kamisori would certainly work with that blade IMO.
Very nice looking Bruno Blade phrank.. Could scare the whiskers of a face.
