Ebay app NO GOOD
Second time this week I missed out on an auction because the app was lagging. I tried putting in a bid well above the winning price and it didn't register in the App. I nearly broke my phone tonight. I'm seething right now. So many four letter words running through my head.

That's something that's happened to the best of us. The lesson is to just put an ebay sniping app on your phone. Put in a max bid that gets placed at 3 seconds before the auction ends. I've enjoyed it a lot, especially for foreign auctions that end at odd times. One thing I've learned after losing out on a lot of auctions, there's always more. Half the time I find a better deal too. What did you lose out on?

The most recent was a lot that just ended containing a MK 33 with natural scales. Something i've been trying to get my hands on for awhile now. Oh well, so it goes. I'll calm down in a few hours I'm sure....maybe

I lost that one too. Haha, I put in for 325. Someone is happy now...
-
Yeah no kidding, I was going MUCH higher to make sure I got it. Saved me quite a bit but I'm still pretty angry about the app costing me a razor I really want to get my hands on.

My eBay app is always good.
Maybe your connection is to blame?
-
Perhaps. I'm on Verizon 4G LTE so its either the app or Verizon is full of it about their data speed.
-
I'm on Verizon also.

It has happened to me a couple of times, but generally the app works well. I try to put in my max bids well before the end just to make sure and just let the chips fall where they may:)

I would never use a wireless device for something as important as sniping a deal on Ebay. Nor would I entrust such an important thing with a Microsoft or Apple operating system... they are just too dang buggy for me.
I have NEVER had an issue with Linux and Jbidwatcher, it has always worked flawlessly, as long as I remembered to not allow the computer to go to sleep!
