I have no idea how old that razor is but the imprintlng suggests not very. I doubt the scales are made of celluloid.
Looks more like it was rusted at one time. The tang out past the scales shows the same kind of marks. He states pits in his description but he restored it that way ? hmmmmm
I've bought from that seller before, complete gentleman, stands by product, have exchanged quite a few emails with him in the past and as far as I'm concerned, totally trustworthy.
