Not sure is this really contributes much of anything to the thread, but here are three that I used to own. Top is the usual FBU stamp, center the somewhat unusual For Barbers Only, and bottom one with the Celebrated FBU etch (not in the photo) but you can see that tang stamp clearly ;

You can bet that last one is reground/reshaped from a Wedge FBU such as the 2nd pic!
Oh yeah...it was a wedge, noo doot aboot it, it was superbly reground into a hollow, it is as hollow as a Fili #14....this razor always makes me chuckle thinking it must be the Great, Great Grandfather of all the big hollows. I can say, for a beat up beast that it is, it gives one of the nicest, closest, smoothest shaves of most of the razor's I've ever used.Quote:

Yes, I also have a Frederick Reynolds 9/8, with the same "action etching" of, The Celebrated, Hollow Ground Razor, For Barber's Use, on the blade face. It's not an etching type stamp, seems like one of the lighter quick film type etching, I have a few razors with this lighter type etching...here's one of the only photo's I have that you can somewhat see the etching, followed by another pic of the razor, you have to look really close to even see it's remnants:Quote:
