I sold a razor on fleabay back in April.
It didn't sell for a large amount and the postage from Ireland to Canada cost more than the actual razor sold for.
I posted the razor using the Irish postal service and paid for a registered service with tracking so I could provide the number to the buyer and keep an eye on it myself.
While on holidays with my family in May the buyer opened a 'did not receive my item' case after 2 weeks without even contacting myself with their concerns.
As I was away I had no recourse to any information and thought I'll deal with this when I get home.
Unfortunately when I got back the person who shall remain nameless received their refund.
This was about the time that Fort Mac was on fire and postal services were delayed for most of Canada as per the Canada Post website.
Since the refund went through I have tried to have this decision reversed to no avail.
6 weeks after I posted the razor it was signed for by the person who purchased it and got their refund!!
So I have been chasing them with almost weekly reminders and customer service complaints.
I have been stonewalled by both ebay and the 'buyer'
After contacting the CEO of ebay, naming the person on here (post removed and rules reminded of by mainaman,) the ebay press office and anybody who wouldn't listen, I received a call from the press office of ebay.
They told me I would receive my due refund within a week.
I got an email in the early hours of this morning stating a donation had been paid to St Jude's Research Hospital in Memphis TN in lieu of a refund. Funny thing is they included the webmaster email address of this site in the cc.
Strange thing to do!!
Fair enough, it never really was the money that bothered me but the dishonesty that was portrayed.
The ebayer concerned is a member of this website obviously so if you're reading this xx-xxxxx you'll know I'm writing about you!
Be warned fellow SRP users, there is one hell of a dishonest ebayer amongst us.
