Thread: Etiquette question

So I received my new set of razors. I would say they are exactly as advertised, but the "IVORIE TYPE COLOR BONE GRIPS" seem more like plastic than bone to me. OK, my bad, I know its on me not to trust anyone to know diddley, but how do I handle it. I'm keeping the razors, and I paid a fair price so its not like I want anything in return. Should I even bother to mention it in the feedback, or should I just let it be, give her positive feedback and move on?

My guess is that their intent was to say "ivory color bone type grips", which, based on your post, would have been correct. IMO, ebay buys are "buyer beware", and you should always question concerns before believing and before buying. It's a bit of a gray area in a situation like this.

If you're gonna keep the razors anyways and you paid a price you're comfortable with then I'd leave it... You could shoot off an email outlining your concerns but I wouldn't hold breath expecting a resolution...

Caveat emptor. Be careful of the wording and ask questions. Only if its misleading should you feel impuned. If you can keep them and be satisfied, what's the real beef? Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. When you b holdin it, it might be different than the one that b holdin before....

I've come to believe that ebay sellers are either bad spellers or they mispell and/or corrupt grammar deliberately to be vague.

"IVORIE TYPE COLOR BONE GRIPS" is an example. What the hell is 'ivorie?' I always assume scales are celluloid until I check them out.

I've never wasted any time trying to teach 'basics of razor sales' to vendors. Ignorance is protection. I sent a question to probably the largest purveyor of straight razors on either side of the Atlantic about the type of grind i.e., 1/4, 1/2, 1/1 of a razor and he replied that he was 'not an expert.'

Ignorance is either the conscious or unconscious act of 'ignoring' what's in front of our faces. When I'm ignoring the truth, the last thing I want is to have somebody send me an email telling me about it.
