OK, I'll try. I've been wanting one of these. :)

Here I was quietly setting by the side watching, waiting to swoop in at the last and make an offer; Oh Well:shrug: It's out in the open now!
Ken.
Dont you love when that happens!:roflmao:roflmao

That makes 3 of us!
ummm 4
Me too....
I was just watching, however, already have 2 (one to save, one to use!)

Let the snipes begin

This oughta be good... I wasn't watching this, but I think I will now just for laughs and giggles.
Sorry guys... didn't know you were so many lurking around waiting for the perfect shot. I just thought it was a little sad that this one was being sold on ebay and not in the BST... and that it could be good if its new owner could be an SRP member...
I think it's just wrong that this wasn't listed to members only...
bad form!
Yeah, I think so too.
Can we all be sure that all 250 SRP TI's are in possession of SRP forum members?
Is there any official SRP TI owner list?
That should be interesting
Its right at my max bid now -$110. Someone please take it and put me out of my misery. I shouldn't be spending this money anyway. :o

Has anyone bothered to ask the seller why they are selling it on the bay? Perhaps they want more money than they think they can get from BST, you know with the recent talks of straights being sold at rather high price and all that. It is number 87 so you'd think its someone who has been here a while.
It would be cool to see a list of who owns what razor from the limited edition.
I do hope to own one of these one day but personally for the price its at now, I would rather spend an extra $40 and get a brand spanking new one, but thats just me.
Put me down for one, er, ah, make that #144. It seems that one is spoken for.;)
$25 to mail a razor to Canada?? That's a new record! I'll wait for another one...
If my bid holds up - and I'm hoping it won't - I'd be happy to ship it you at cost.

There should be no mystery here. The description says it's #87 and the seller is the original owner. Hopefully if a non-SRP member buys the razor, he'll joinafter getting it.
I say conceder this a good thing… for all owners and to-be-owners of SRP razors.
Wouldn't it be nice to see the razor go for a very high price... more than any SRP member is willing to pay?
Wouldn't it be interesting to have an idea what those razors are worth on the open market? You will never know till someone sells there’s on ebay.
the issue i see with it is that the owner took so little for the blade it is stained and who knows if some of that is corrosion.
as for the owner being a member... in order to order the razor you must include your srp name so this person is most likely a lapsed member as i do not think a current active user would opt for ebay to sell this razor.
Maybe someone in a pinch or something. I agree must've at least been a member at one time in that the username is required to buy one.
Also with the staining from soap/cream I've found that if a little gets on a razor it comes off with a 10 min soak in barbicide right away, no scrubbing or anything. I cleaned off a DD that I got recently from ebay in barbicide and after the soak and just rinsing it in water the part that had been in barbicide was pretty well restored to like-new polish minus the few rust spots on the blade.
CONGRATS Mike!!!!!!!!! I guess your heart wouldn't let you walk away from it.
Enjoy it buddy..:bow
I just couldn't see it go to a non-member...
It's not right...
I've been looking at these for a while, and trying to justify the purchase, and this one I could justify.
Hopefully it will polish up easily.
thanks mike... i was the bidder in second place... not that is needed a second one... i'm #142
sorry to snatch it from you at the last minute like that, but i didn't know, and it just didn't feel right letting it go.
I still want to slap the guy for posting it on E-bay in the first place though...
Congrats Mike enoy if I had'nt just ordered one for my birthday present to me would of went for this but could not justify that wonder what number mine will be will post photo and number for the record list
The tarnish on this one came off with just a few seconds on my polishing wheel...
I gave it a fresh coat of danish oil and gun stock wax, and I'll hone it up later today.
Forgive the poor quality of the picture, but it gives you the basic idea.

Looks like a different razor Mike,,,great job and let us know how it shaves.
Nice save, Mike.
I've been tempted to post on this thread a few times now for different reasons. But now I couldn't stand it any more albeit for a whole new reason.
Can anyone tell me what Danish oil is. I have never heard of it.
I'm glad you grabbed this one, Mike. Enjoy it!
X
Never heard of it =/. I'm guessing someone over there decided to call it that - for some reason other than it being from here.
Kinda like how we call the pastry, which you call a Danish, a Berliner here =)
Danish oil is Tung oil with polymers added.
It gives a nice finish without over glossing things.
I did my first shave with it a couple of hours ago, and it shaves nicely. I'd probably rate it as a 7/10... (which is good for a first shave)
It's a bit small for my tastes, at 6/8... I Did a 3 pass BBS with just a couple of weepers on the chin. no razor burn, and the blade was very smooth.
The scales have a nice balance to them, and it fit my hand well. If I use it on a regular basis, and get accustomed to the small blade, I think it will turn out to be a very nice shaver.
