Well, I really shouldn't have spent the money, especially since I just bought a set of shaptons that haven't even arrived yet, but I just couldn't resist this one.

The scales, which I'm guessing are mottled/painted horn appear to be in very good shape. Some very light sanding and sealing and they should be good as new.
The blade shows practically no hone wear that I can see.

If it wasn't for the almost complete lack of hone wear, I would have hesitated at the price, but it looks so good, I just couldn't resist.
Now the big question; do I oil up the scales, hone the blade, and call it good? Or, do I I unpin it, sand/buff the whole thing so it looks new, and then re-pin before I hone it?
I guess I'll have to see what it looks like once it arrives.
