Im still somewhat new to this, and after reading the comments on this DUBL DUCK. I am hesitant to pull the trigger and buy this one. Ive been wanting a dubl duck for quite sometime...but i have absolutely no honing knowledge at all and i dont want to buy something with a chip that could cause uncomfortable shaves.
From looking at the pic what do you guys think?

The chip can be removed if you send it out to the honemeister. You will end up loosing some width of the blade. Still plenty of steel but it won't be a 6/8 anymore.Quote:

Yes, that's a chip alright. I noticed that the seller had it listed as shave-ready too, which, it isn't due to the chip. I changed the option.
