Default I need an experts eyes for this one

Im still somewhat new to this, and after reading the comments on this DUBL DUCK. I am hesitant to pull the trigger and buy this one. Ive been wanting a dubl duck for quite sometime...but i have absolutely no honing knowledge at all and i dont want to buy something with a chip that could cause uncomfortable shaves.

From looking at the pic what do you guys think?

    Thank you

    Tony

The chip can be removed if you send it out to the honemeister. You will end up loosing some width of the blade. Still plenty of steel but it won't be a 6/8 anymore.

Yeah, thats the problem though. I dont know if im willing to pay for a razor just to have it shipped out to be honed. Thats why im curious if this is actually a chip or not. It looks like it to me but im operating with....i guess you could say "virgin" eyes when it comes to these things.

Yes, that's a chip alright. I noticed that the seller had it listed as shave-ready too, which, it isn't due to the chip. I changed the option.
