Looks like a Dovo era Bismark, more recent vintage, with generic scales. Should be a good shaver. Maybe the Bismark experts will voice an opinion.
Well it sure looks OK to me. You can only see the face side in the photos but since the seller has 100% it may be that everyone only feels comfortable buying Bismarcks from that vtsolar guy. Hope it works out - if I liked full hollows I'd have gone for it.
Looks great! I have a Bismarck with an identical blade profile, filework and gold wash. Heavy duty and a good shaver. I agree that yours is from the Dovo era. Mine has very heavy and original bone scales. You got a bargain price for an uncommon razor, IMO.

It can happen. Some years ago, when I was toying with the idea of straights but long before I discovered SRP, I was the sole bidder on a nice Wade & Butcher. Same thing happened more recently with what has become one of my favorite pipes. Some days you eat the bear ... and you don't have to worry about the other half of the saying today. :)
