That's the way corn razors are supposed to look. They are for shaving the calloused corns off your feet, not the whiskers on your face.

Another reminder folks.
If you post an eBay link it will be dead shortly after sale, making your post quite useless for any future reference.
Please bother to upload pics or this thread has no value.
This deal looked interesting at first but then I wondered about some of the stories members have told about their prize NOS Ducks going bad while being stored. I sent a note to the seller and asked "what if I open it and the blade is cell rotten? " The response was "that's why I called it a treasure hunt." Now, I never saw anything about treasure hunting in the ad and so I am thinking this guy knows exactly what cell rot is and thinks maybe it is rotten because of where it was stored. Maybe he already opened another one? Who knows ? I would say if you bid on it you might as well be in Vegas and lay the whole amount on red and hope for the best. I personally got a bad feeling about this one from the response the seller gave and the fact he was the barbers son. Why not open it and probably get more for it ? Surely any thinking man would know it is a gamble. I do hope the story ends well for whoever gets it !Attachment 134967
THIS IS A CHOPPED TO FIT SCREEN SHOT. As of this post the item has only 4 days left. (just in case your a real gambler!)
This was a razor I was watching a few days ago. I couldn't help thinking that this seller shot himself in the foot with his arrogance. I think this blade would have normally gone for more, with its condition, etc. I refused to bid after I read his description (I have too many razors anyway). Wonder if I wasn't alone...

See, being a newbie I would have gone by the reputation and condition and expected more. I see people pay so much for those things. I know the one I have is generic in the grand scheme of things (come to think of it, it's just like that one except without the barber's notch, but I only paid $8.00 for mine.
Clean razor, no hone wear, no abuse by somebody trying to shine it up, good size, I recon it's worth the $35.
Anything you buy on ebay is a gamble, especially from sellers who don't know how to use these things, but this one is a gamble I could see myself taking. Of course, there are dozens of brands I'd rather put my money into, but I have plenty of experience and know those. For somebody that goes by brand names it seems worth while.
Now, paying over $100 for 15/16 w&b, that I have no apetite for.
Seems like the seller is implying he will either default on his commitment to sell the razor even if the only bid is at the opening price, or there will be shilling to ensure the razor does not sell at the opening bid. Looking at the bid history there may have been a little bit of shilling going on, but there's no way to prove it with as little public info as ebay shows.
Wow! What a deal! Made by the Butcher Brothers of "rare and special Damascus Syria steel". The bidding starts at a grand but you can "Buy It Now" for only $1500.00! (To the blade's credit, it does have a camel etched on it.)
