There are widely different as finishers. Speed and smoothness vary a lot.
Mike will hopefully inform us on how the stone performs. A good Asagi that does not scratch is indeed a precious find, hope this stone is one of them.

Guy's I know enough about these stones to realize I don't know anything, yet. Too many variables involved with steel and stone while chasing the perfect edge. But I have an advantage, I know someone who does know, and I'm a good student. That's the fun part.

I got my CF in and am nothing but pleased. It's beautiful in every way & can't wait to run a few razors over it!
Looks similar, correct, but this past June at the Mid-Mo razor meet I saw one that Sham owned. It had some markings from the quarry and this one has the same markings. So I know for fact it is a Turkish oilstone.
The one on Ebay does not seem to have the same markings.
