All of those hones are from Mac. I have purchased from him before with no problems what-so-ever. A tad interesting Mac is getting rid of his natural hones.
I don't think you got screwed.

Mac is a Great Person. I think you are very lucky to get Charnley for that price.
They go above 350.00 at the moment.

That's a peach at that price, an investment even! And it has a lid to the box which is rarer, most come in a half box.
Mac's a great guy, I wouldn't let mine go that easily!

Thanked: 1936I just found out that the price is what he gave for it when he bought it. Impressive huh? He could have gotten twice that for it...

Thanked: 1936Here's an email I just got from him thru ebay, he sounds like someone I would like to know:
If, after you recieve your Charnley and are in any way unhappy, let me know. I will take it back with a full refund, without hessitation. The Charnley Forest, is an exceptionally rare hone, but it takes time to master its full finishing capabilities.
As for the price i sold the hone for, i sold it for what i paid for it, a year ago...i dont sell for profit.
Be well and good luck,
Mac
If I had the $$$, I'd probably order another by that response and those from you guys.Southeastern Oklahoma/Northeastern Texas helper. Please don't hesitate to contact me.
