I saw this listing for a totally unrepairable worthless razor described as in "good condition." It has a chunk the size of a quarter broken out of the middle of the blade.

I wrote to him and told him the razor could not be repaired, sharpened or saved in any way. I was nice about it too. He responded with a very snotty sarcastic response. Oh well, can't win them all.
Well, I'm pretty sure you could win that one for $4.95!
This is exactly why, even if I'm tempted to write to an ebay seller to try to give them more information about something they are selling, I never do. There are too many that "know" they are right and simply will not be told otherwise. But then again, any ebay seller wouldn't know who you or I or Lynn is, so I suppose they don't have any reason to take someone at their word.Quote:

Maybe someone with a blue steel blade, but missing the original scales would want it for $5 though. who knows.

I have noticed more sellers have realized "Shave ready" = more money.

Some people are pro-active and some are re-active. Don't be the latter. Don't worry about this auction...there are many, better razors to be had on eBay.
I don't know about some people.
While I tend to do my own research, I welcome updates... assuming I can verify the facts given.

Damn, I'd great appreciate opinions on my listings. I wouldn't want to misrepresent what I'm selling. I described my stuff to the best of my abilities.

It never ceases to amaze me the junk that some people try and sell on ebay. I spend a fair bit of time searching through the offerings, looking for bargains and some people just obviously don't know where the rubbish bin is in their house because some of the rubbish they try and sell on ebay is unbelieveable.
Perhaps the scales would be worth a couple bucks.
Sometimes ,being junk isnt the deal,but antique dealers seem to think that because its old it worth something,like a bathroom decoration,so they think as an antiquity its worth a lot of money.Some people buy them for that specific reason.Us special people buy them for our special reason.Therefore to each their own.;)Quote:
