This is exactly why, even if I'm tempted to write to an ebay seller to try to give them more information about something they are selling, I never do. There are too many that "know" they are right and simply will not be told otherwise. But then again, any ebay seller wouldn't know who you or I or Lynn is, so I suppose they don't have any reason to take someone at their word.

Thanked: 3795And for the reasons described above, it makes more sense to send the seller a snotty sarcastic message in the first place. It just saves time!

Thanked: 1371The psychology of eBay sellers is interesting. I've messaged sellers a few times before telling them that their listing was labelled wrong and that they could make more money by changing a word or adding a keyword so that people looking for that particular item would see it. Without exception the response has been along the lines of "**** off and mind your own business". Only one time did a seller update their listing after that.
Apparently to a lot of them being right is more important than making money...
Strange women lying in ponds distributing swords is no basis for a system of government.

Thanked: 3795Now that would definitely cheese me off, except it wouldn't be cheese. I once bought a unique trumpet mouthpiece that turned out to have the end that was supposed to be inserted into the trumpet almost completely flattened. When I pointed out that he failed to point it out, he said it easily could be fixed.

CMon, guys!
The guy did not misrepresent the item in any way in my opinion. The blade is there for all to see. Besides, somebody, somewhere needs those scales! Just an opinion, of course!

That notch is there intentionally. I wonder who put it there and why?
