Good morning to you all. I have stumbled on some razors of my dad's that i have put up for auction on eBay. Someone last night said they might be worth more than is being bid, given the markings.
Set of cut throat razors - collectors item | eBay
There are nine straight edge razors - and in my utter ignorance I referred to them on eBay as 'cut throat' so sincere apologies if that offends, it isn't meant to, just shows my lack of knowledge.
The blades are all marked:
- Joseph Allen & Son, Sheffield
- Thomas Rudd & Sons, Sheffield; Coma Trade Mark
- In a presentation box, wooden and engraved, we have:
- A Crown with GR below, PALMER St James's St.
- A Crown with GR below, PALMER St James's St
- A Crown with WR below, PALMER St James's St
- Joseph Haywood & Compy, Makers Sheffield
- F West late PALMER cutler to Her Majesty No .. St James's St
- HF P.P.H. The Dutchess of Kent & Princess Victoria
- HF P.P.H. The Dutchess & Princess Victoria
