I'm after a cheap strop to keep in my locker in work, and I came across these:

Just wondering if anyone's had any dealings with them? I don't expect it to be perfect for that price, but by the same token I don't have much cash to spare! (I'm sure we've all been there...)

Just about anything will work. I've stropped on my Corduroy trousers while wearing them, very carefully of course.

I picked up one of these guys for about $20 shipped WITH a GD. I'll post once I get it
I stropped on denim & newspaper before I got a leather strop. You would be surprised how much they help an edge.
Wow The Valet Autostrop almust allways come without the strop part of that whole thing. It was a single blade safety razor that would get stropped by pulling the strop though where the razor holds the blade.Quote:

Yeah and if the grain seems to heavy for you sand it down and then oil it a little. I have a cheap one I got in a very cheap kit and that is what I did to take the speed bumps out.
This strop wouldn't be very convenient for stropping a straight. They're made for stropping the Valet razors (single edge) so they're not very wide at all and quite short.Quote:
