    Default Thoughts on this Boker

This is an interesting looking razor. Thoughts anyone?

Interesting scales, but that blade will need serious work

I agree, and it's the interesting scales that the collectors go for. I bet it'll jump up a bit too much for my liking.

The scales are really interesting which is what drew me to it. I agree though that the blade looks like it will need a lot of work which I don't think I am ready to do right now. Are those wood scales? They look carved...

The scales are probably celluloid. What I don't like though are the pits of rust, that equals corrosion and there's alot of rust at the edge which means alot of honing, I mean serious honing. Personally I don't think its worth the work.

For what it's worth I have that same blade in a set of standard Boker tree scales - it's a nice stiff grind and handles very well. It's a very respectable shaver but I haven't been able to get the edge quite where I want it yet, up to the usual Boker standards.
