The wife left to a movie, the 4 yr & 2 yr olds were snoring and the 4 mnd old just ate and was almost asleep.
showered, hot towel on face...tried some pre-shave oil (Mr. Natty) figured it couldnt hurt...a little more hot towel just to be sure.. Proraso sandalwood soap, tried out my new Wee Scot brush purchased for my travel kit. Lathered up only half my face so not to feel rushed. I felt pretty good about a razor I honed and stropped a 6/8" Salanc Fleche D' Or that was popping hairs and has a very friendly looking round point (shaves #3-6 with a spike point took its toll)Sectioned off my face, got a few good swiped in, did right side & throat, felt confident. continued to the opposite side same procedure, lathered up and began with the off hand still feeling strong...under the nose went well except for a little slip, a little blood nothing major.. First pass complete.. ATG good no problems... a few places to touch up a few small spot to re-apply latter and I was done!! rubbed down with the alum block... I had a few hot spots but it still felt good... patted off with a towel, splashed some cold water on and applied a liberal amount of Ogallala bay rum... very smooth, only a few spots I feel ATG but looks like a very close shave even on the chin!
felt good enough that I felt moved to post about it.
