So I shaved for the first time with a straight Friday night.

I picked up a flawed, sight unseen straight with poorman'strip and silver tip brush from Whipped Dog. Great experience with Larry from WD. The post office decided that my package needed to take the scenic route, TX to So Cal via Anchorage, AK.

The razor is a Lee's Radium Gold. Not the prettiest razor ever compared to the pictures of art I've seen here. I knew this beforehand so I'm not in the least disappointed.

I used the free sample of Bald Frog Arabian Hookah soap. I tried to lather in th mug with no success. However, it did lather pretty well in my face.

Getting the razor angle and pressure correct was tough. I believe my pressure was a bit excessive, lots of tugging. I only did my right cheek.

Now, after reading more and watching a couple videos, I tried again today. Much better results today. Basically, I used almost no pressure with the razor on the skin. I shaved my whole face today. The chin is tough. The Adams apple area scares me.
