Don't give up on that Musgo. Get your bottled water on it and enjoy a really nice and slick lather. Under normal water conditions, Musgo lathers easily and rich.

Yes, they are, but unless you're astonishingly poor you should be able to afford a cream. Some creams (like Body Shop) require ridiculously small amounts to make a lather and will last a LONG time. Plus you can make a nice Überlather. I haven't tried Musgo real soap, it may differ greatly from Musgo Real cream.
Having said all that, I respect your decision and ability to make a lather from soap, it certainly can be very trying...
Generally, that is true however, in the case of VDH soap it is not. VDH soap is great stuff it just happens to be affordable. It's available everywhere, super slick and lathers like a champ. What's not to like? It's definitely on my list of affordable stuff that works like a charm (see also: Arko Shavestick). There's a ton of difference between cheap and affordable.
