Week #2 with a SRS - today was a good day
This mornings shave was the first one where things started to come together. I know a sample of 1 is not a trend, but it was very motivating.
Used SRD 100% pure essential oil lime shaving soap for the first time. I made the lather a bit thinner than I had been doing with the TOBS lime cream. I have found that I had been making the cream lather to thick to the point where it would slow down the blade movement as it accumulated on the blade. So this time I figured I would try the soap and make it comparatively thinner. (I will work on the cream lather consistency as well).
Did lots of reading of old threads in the beginners forum and made an effort to concentrate on pressure and blade angle as I know those are elements of the shave that require lots of practice to find your sweet spot.
This morning's shave was the best so far - very clean and smooth glide of the blade. For now I am going to work on my lather and learn the best consistency for me.
Many thanks to everyone here for your knowledge and your willingness to share.
All the best,
CF
