All I Want for Christmas

Hello everyone! I know I'm getting anxious, lol I have been approved for disability because my back problems keep me from working in a normal job (if there is such a thing) lol I am hoping to get my back pay and that is what I'm going to buy my shaving supplies with. I have no idea how long it is going to take to get it, but I REALLY hope to get it before Christmas. I know it may sound kinda funny but I've been practicing with a butter knife about the angles and such. Having to use this horrid horrid canned sludge. I just am really hoping to get it soon. Wish me luck! :D

Practice won't go astray when it comes time to shave. While practicing map which way the hair grows well. Good luck

When you get your back pay/if, bank it,Buy one decent blade and a strop on the classifieds,PM me, will send you a new brush and some shaving soap gratis,A blade is a blade,keep practicing.

The blade I was thinking about getting is a Hart Steel 6\8th satin finish. I haven't heard much about that brand but most of what I DID hear was positive. :D

Have never owened a modern blade,but it may serve you well,just make sure you start off with a 100% gauranteed pro honed Blade.
Your first shave,your first impression, will dictate the rest of the journey.

Yes, it says "shave ready" boy I've never heard THAT term before. Lol I am going to get it and then send it to be pro honed

You should also check the forum classifieds to see if the is something you like.

I remember some talk about the earlier harts having odd blade geometry that made honing difficult, but from what I have heard recently it has improved.
I have only picked this up from a few threads, so please don't take any of it as absolute, it may just be worth using the search at the top right and doing a bit of digging.
