Default I will never use Dorco Shavers again.

I thought I would save some money by buying some Dorco razors and cartridges seeing all these "good" reviews online but I made a huge mistake and my face is burning like crazy. Thats why Im here.

    Welcome to the forum.
Too bad you're first straight razor experience is a bad one, a lot of people give up after it.
The most important thing to do now is to get some information that get you in the right direction, if you have questions, feel free to ask.
If you need a razor, you can always look at our classified section, where you can get a razor from one of our members.
    Sometimes I feel normal.
Then it's time to lay down and wait for it to pass.

I believe he was talking about something like these. But since Dorco have made all kinds of razors and blades, there's plenty of room for confusion.

I have some dorco DE blades here, they have as you noted, made straight razors, and now I've just discovered they make apparently crappy cartridges too!

It was in original condition, faded red, well-worn, but nice.
This was and still is my favorite combination; beautiful, original, and worn.

To clear up some confusion Dorco is actually a south Korean blade maker I guess you would call it that makes cartridge razors. That's what I mean . I've never had a straight razor so I want to learn more about the art first before I buy one.

Learn away, you've come to the right place. If you need any help just ask. If you go back to DE shaving get a decent razor and as big a sample of different blades as you can.
For SR shaving read all you can here then make sure you buy right, you'll need patience but the experience is enjoyable and addictive!!

Even if your first experience with a straight razor isn't to your liking, there's always the double-edge razors. Between the two options, you'll certainly not return to those plastic things, that's for sure.

There is a lot to read here. Welcome. Many people come here to escape the waste and/or abuse inflicted by cartridge razors. I find the journey most fulfilling, I hope you do as well.
