I just took a new job that has a clean shave policy. I would like to make shaving more enjoyable. I am the grandson of a WW2 navy barber (he passed about 34 years ago). I have his old razors and some other trinkits. The razors are in good condition all are 60+ years old. I am looking at "starter sets" at classicshaving.com I would like to have a new razor to start with and then start getting the old ones out and making them users. I have looked at the white Dovo/Rooney set. I also looked at the Classic Sharpening Set. This combo is a little pricey but if you price it out seperately it looks like a better deal and I want a badger brush to replace my boar. Does anybody have any better ideas or deals to get me into the game. After lurking here a bit I wonder about the Tony Miller strop. Are the Illinois from classicshaving good? The set also comes with Lynns DVD a must as near as I can tell.
