I own 31 straight razors, but find myself no longer comfortable using any of the full-hollow grinds; this leaves me with twenty that are half- or quarter-hollow, or near-wedge, and, of these, I probably use ten of them with any consistency.
I sold ten of my "top" razors this past year, and really ought to sell my remaining full-hollow grinds; this is after seven years as a straight-razor shaver on a regular basis. It's not so easy, arriving at a conscious awareness of what one prefers, even if deeper-down we know what's-what; anyway, it hasn't been, for me. Although I caution beginners to not buy so quickly, I recognize and admit that it's easier to say, than do.
Smooth shaving!
