After a year, I pretty much have stopped posting about my shaves, but...

I had decided to experiment some, and so re-tried using cold water this morning. I had just gotten a new Semogue 2013 special edition brush, and my Burrell Top Flight, bought from and honed by Gssixgun was up in my rotation for only the 3d time.

I went at lathering some Proraso Blue cream, rubbing it into my beard with my fingers, then face lathered with my new Semogue brush. I really worked on the lather for a while, adding water to the brush along the way and painting my face pretty thoroughly. When I put the edge to skin, my 2 day beard seemed to just wipe off, and I went on to do two full passes (WTG and ATG) before the brush was out of cream residue. I pulled out the Arko stick so I could do a fast lather for a 3d pass, lathered up quickly, then did a third 'touch-up' pass doing some scything strokes on the oddly grained parts of my neck and chin.

I then rinsed with cold water, used Thayers and some Obsession cologne and had zero irritation and an almost shiny old face 😀.

Loved it all and will be doing cold water more, especially as long as summer goes on, with its heat and humidity here at the beach.
